The Woman: Emily
I just moved from Boston, MA to the suburbs of Chicago, IL. I’m getting married in September in my hometown in Minnesota, so this is the first time in my life that I can’t wait for summer to end! Fun fact: I have an identical twin sister. The only way you can tell us apart is by our hair color (she’s a blondie). After graduating in the 2007/2008 job market, I luckily got a job after graduation and started as an administrative assistant at an investment bank. From there, I moved on to become a senior administrative assistant, then an executive assistant, and finally supported a CEO and a head of the US at a consulting firm.
I have learned an immense amount about business, people and corporate culture through my roles, but there is still so much to learn. And so I’m headed back to school this August to get my MBA at the University of Illinois. What I’ll be doing after that, only the universe knows!
This ensemble is the perfect look for a comfortable yet professional day at the office. This dark skirt against Emily’s skin tone gives off a very elegant look. Keeping it neutral up top is a great way for Emily to show off that awesome head of hair in a very professional way; and a high neckline top looks good on nearly everyone. Finish this look off with some simple gold jewelry and a pair of black heels and you’re ready to take on the day!
